ACUITY TEACHERS

I'd like to thank all of the Acuity teachers for your efforts looking at the Acuity data yesterday. We'll continue to use the same process with future Acuity results. What needs to happen now is...

1. Reteach those concepts that you have already taught and that the classes scored poorly on. This could be done this week or when we come back.

2. Plan to remediate the individual students who scored in the Tier 1 or Tier 2 range. If you did not finish assigning them the relevant instructional resources, you'll need to finish that. You will then need to work with your team to bring kids to the computer lab who do not have a lab or basic skills class so they can get some remediation on the concepts they were weak in. Only L.A. and Math will be remediating with Acuity because the state has not added the social studies instructional resources yet. The lab is scheduled during bonus period as follows:

7th Grade teachers will use lab 209 and 8th grade teachers will use lab 118.

Week of January 12th-7th grade, Susan and Sarah...8th grade, Steven and Denise

Week of January 19th-7th grade, Karen and Paula...8th grade, Mike and Betsy

*Jenny will rotate her kids into the lab when she can...Charles should also rotate his kids in on days the lab isn't being used. The special education teachers should have their kids use the instructional resources during Basic Skills or Bonus Period. We'll just rotate the schedule every other week for bonus period remediation until the next Acuity test the end of February. I'll send out the testing schedule when I know the dates for sure.

Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions.
