Now that formal observations are done for a while, Reid and I will be getting back to conducting walkthrough observations on a regular basis. We reviewed our procedures and decided to adjust the data collected during walkthroughs. Reid and I carry index cards during walkthroughs that we use to collect the data and it then gets entered into a spreadsheet to be shared with staff. In October we shared what we had collected up to that point. It is our intention to continue this process. The data collected includes the Date, Period, Standard, Instruction Used and Behaviors Observed. The data should be used for your own reflections. Below is a list of the data categories. Please note that the behaviors listed are things we hope to periodically see in classrooms. Let me know if you have any questions.
