State of the Classroom
The support of students as caring adults is in greater need than ever before. We are currently studying the book "Simplifying Response to Intervention" and it repeatedly says that a teacher cannot possibly meet all the needs of all of their students in one classroom. Our ability of an entire school community to meet these needs together is of immense importance. Our role as maybe the only caring adult is huge. Together we can help all students be more successful by providing them structure and relationships as well as reaching out to their parents or recommending students to get involved in positive after school activities. This is collective responsibility. Our challenges are greater than ever and our adult culture is the ceiling for our student culture. Together we can be the people that make a difference to all students.
