We are at the mid point of the grading period. How are your students doing? How are their grades doing? Are they making the progress you want them to make academically? How about socially? Behaviorally? Are they more prepared for high school today than they were in August? Are they better readers, writers, discussers, thinkers than at the beginning of the year? Are they more Amazing today than in August?
How do you know the answers to these questions? Do you know the answers to these questions? Each day, month, progress report time, grading period we can reflect and think about the answers to these questions. This is being reflective in our practice in our relentlessness to our pursuit for Amazing. Last week I shared our school grade which was made up of proficiency and growth scores for our students. Yes we are accountable for both of these things as well as preparing students for beyond Lincoln Junior High. We are doing important work and we can make a difference especially when we stay focused on the end goal of being Amazing. So here at the mid point of quarter two it is an opportunity to reflect and look at our progress thus far and make adjustments so that we attain our goal. Keep up the focus and relentlessness towards Amazing. We can do it, you can do it.
Accolades @ Lincoln
Amazing job Susan LaFree, Ryan Ahlrich, Betsy Barron, and Angie Bronicki for recognizing students for being Amazing at the Spirit Assembly. What a neat new tradition for recognizing students. Here is the form again. Be sure to add Amazing students for next month.
Paula Neidlinger- The Veteran's Day video was really good and a nice tribute. Great work of including lots of staff in the video.
8th Grade Innovation Academy Teachers- Great work in planning our first Spirit Assembly. Thanks for leading the way. 7th IA teachers plan next months.
Ashley Oliver- She has solidified our ISS room and for her flexibility in moving into a position that we think she will do great in.
Kudos to Lisa Wallyn for her extra help on Friday evening with our Lincoln Fun Night. After her Jazz band practice she stepped right in to help get the night started.
Mei Guan- She has stepped up and taken on the Robotics club for this year. I love the growth mindset and her willingness to step out of her comfort zone to help Lincoln and our students.

Commemorative Community Day- Wednesday 9:00-11:00 Agenda Students will be in their advisory classes until 9:10 then teachers will need to lead them to their first locations of the Commemorative walk and stay with them throughout the walk. It will be important for teachers to preempt students regarding behavior during the event. Students should be respectful and listening to those that are presenting at each location. Students may ask questions. Teacher please take charge during this event and make sure students are respectful.

November Check Ins- November 18- Dec. 4th- We will be scheduling check ins with core teachers during this time. Check In discussions will include progress on individual goals, meeting the needs of ELL students, special education students, math related emphasis areas, and LA related emphasis areas.
