Progress towards Amazing

Team Lincoln Holiday Celebration

We set out in August to be Amazing not average.  We are now at the halfway point of the year.  We saw that our iLearn scores were right around the state average, we saw that our school grade was a D although we were just tenths of a point away from being average (C), this is still embargoed. We have looked at data in the areas of Language Arts and Math and have set areas of focus in both areas.  To continue our journey towards Amazing we have continued work to do.  We have set our expectations high and we must continue daily to strive to meet these high expectations.  It starts with relationships and getting to know our students.  This is a given and a continued challenge on our way to Amazing.  Students will be Amazing if we have Amazing relationships with them.  They will more often more of the time meet our high expectations when we really know them.  Know them as kids, know them as learners, know their needs and meet their needs.  We have an Amazing staff that is becoming better as we challenge each other to learn and growth together.  When we learn together and lead together we are Amazing.  We challenged all teachers to be relentless in this pursuit.  To raise our expectations of students thinking, to have students write more, to challenge students with higher order thinking questions, to use evidence in their reading, writing, and discussing, to identify those students that need more time and support and then take action, to know where our students are academically, socially, and emotionally, to be Amazing everyday.  These are the challenges that when we collaborate, plan instruction, meet the needs of students, and set students expectation with a relentless pursuit of Amazing together we will meet together thus being more Amazing in 2020 than 2019.  This is our continued work.  We appreciate the professionalism and pursuit of this goal from everyone everyday.  Thank You and let's be Amazing together.

Sandy Cartwright, Riley Heeren, and others for planning and setting up for the Christmas Party.  Well done, it was a great time.  

Our Aides- For their flexibility and professionalism.  We often change their schedule to cover for various people and we could not do what we do without their flexibility and professionalism.  Thanks Jesus, Fabian, Ashley X2, Wendy, Kathy, Kim, Kennedy, Lori, Sue, and Mike.  You are awesome.

Upcoming @ Lincoln

Monday PD- Tomorrow:  Tour of new building 7:30.  Meet at door 3 in gym.  I have posted the blueprint with room locations on the bulletin board in the lounge.  We will tour the building then grab breakfast in the red room.  Aides that are supervising during Monday PD will take a tour at 9:00.  Meet in the lounge at 9:00.

Tuesday- Choir field trip to Warsaw to see Annie

Wednesday- Collaboration and Corporation Holiday gathering 3:30 @ PHS
                     Fall Film Festival 6:30

Thursday- PLTW 2 Field trip

Friday- PLTW 2 Field trip and Spirit Assembly we will follow Spirit Assembly schedule.
