Mid Summer Update

Staff-  Happy 6th of July!  I hope all of you are having a fun and healthy summer.  The heat has really been on lately outside and the heat is also on for the construction crews to finish the new building.  Things are moving rather slowly and I am feeling pretty stressed about everything coming together prior to August.  Jake and I are back at work and working from the new building.  I wanted to update everyone on a few items as we begin July. 

Rooms and getting into the building-  Teachers can begin putting their rooms together and unpacking starting Monday July 13th.  The building will be open and I ask that you adhere to following procedures as you start this work. 
         1. Do not bring personal furniture items into the building
         2. Be mindful of construction personnel in the building, items in the                             hallways and any areas that are roped off
         3. Park in the far east lot, which will be the staff parking lot.  The paving for
             the lots are being completed this week.  All teachers should enter the
             building doors from the this lot.
         4. Keep a safe distance of 6 feet or more from others as you work and
             reconnect. 
         5. As you set up your rooms for the year all teachers will need to utilize the               maximum amount of space.  Desks should all be facing the same
             direction. If you have questions please ask us and we can look at your
             set up and ok it. 
         6. Technology throughout the building is still being installed, wifi is not                          active throughout the building.
         7. Keys are not ready for distribution yet.  We will do so when they are
              ready. 
         8.  Please breakdown all cardboard boxes and save them.  Stack them in
              the hallway outside your door. 

Upcoming Dates: 

Lincoln in the Park:  Thursday July 23rd 5:30-8:00  River Park Square -  2019-2020 students will be able to pick up yearbooks, 8th grade shirts, and awards.  Teachers are welcome to join the evening.  Hotdogs and will be served as well. 

Leadership Team:  Don't forget if you are interested in serving on the leadership team this year and have yet to fill out the form.  Here it is again.  Interest Form 

National Junior Honor Society Meeting and Subsequent Tours - Monday July 27th 10:00 a.m. 

• This event will be used to tour our 2020-21 8th Grade leaders at Lincoln in order for them to then give tours to all other students during the following days and times.  
• Subsequent Tour Times for all students 

July 28th 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm  (3 times) 

July 29th 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm  (3 times) 

July 30th 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm  (3 times) 

July 31st 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 pm  (3 times) 

*This would most likely need to be by grade and possibly alphabet to

keep numbers smaller.

Demo of the Old Lincoln- The date of this is still TBD. Here are some pics of the building last time I walked through about 2 weeks ago.
