New Information on School Grades

The State Board of Education will soon be adopting new rules on how schools receive their letter grades. As you know, we were a D last year and that will stick. However, the state has emailed out how schools would have done if the new rules would have been used last year. The new rules call for letter grades in ELA and Math. The two are then averaged. One good piece of news we received is that we earned an additional 1.0 on the letter grade system in math because 49% of our bottom math performers actually made HIGH GROWTH last year. This is wonderful and a kudos to the job our math teachers are doing in Math Lab class and regular math classes. Just some good news to build on!
