As we prepare for students on Wednesday August 8th there is a host of information for everyone to familiarize themselves with. First let me welcome back our returning teachers and I am excited to hear about your vacations and new life happenings since we left for the summer. I have been busy hiring several new teachers this summer with the help of several of our current teachers who have served on the interview committees throughout the summer. I continue to think that we have an AWESOME staff and our new teachers will make it even more AWESOME. I hope that everyone was able to find time to recharge and relax during our 6 week vacation. I know our students are ready for great year and experience at Lincoln. We will be ready for them on the 8th.
Let me first introduce our new teachers and staff changes for the upcoming year.
- Mrs. Lauren Brown is moving from 7th/8th Science/ICP to 8th Grade ICP
- Mrs. Maddie Wohlfert is moving from 7th grade Science to 7th/8th Science/ICP
- Mrs. Cheryl Caine is moving from 8th grade Language Arts to 7th grade Science.
- Ms. Sam Berg is moving from 7th Grade Interventionist to lead our Life Skills program
- Ms. Angie Bronicki is moving from 7th grade Humanities to teach 8th grade Social Studies
- Mr. Kevin Garrity is moving from 7th grade Social Studies to 7th grade Humanities in PBL
- Mr. Casey Ickes will be our new 7th grade Interventionist
- Mrs. Kate Kennedy will teach 7th Grade Language Arts and Social Studies
- Ms. Leah Trost will teach 7th Grade Social Studies
- Mrs. Jena Dreibelbis will teach 8th Grade Humanities in PBL
- Ms. Holly Savage will teach 8th Grade Language Arts
- Ms. Betsy Bowen will teach 7th Grade Language Arts
Whew! That is a lot of change. Welcome to Lincoln and to a new and exciting challenge.

New Teacher Induction- Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday @ PHS Weidner School Of Inquiry from 8:00-3:00. Mentors are welcome to attend. Wednesday will be at Lincoln starting at 8:00. Lunch for new teachers and mentors @ Pizza Hut at 11:30 on Wednesday.
Wednesday August 1st - Open School day for students 9:00-12:00 and 1:00 to 3:00. iParent Meetings 10:00, 2:00, and 6:00.
Thursday August 2nd- Back To School Cookout 5:00-7:00- This replaces our past night before school starts back to school night. Teachers should have some kind of informational handout for students and families available in their rooms. (Introduction letter, preview of class, it doesn't need to be elaborate) Teachers can be out and about during the evening to mingle with families and students. This event will be different then in the past but I think it will be a great fun way to connect with our students and parents.
Friday August 3rd - Team Leader Meeting 8:00-11:00 in the Red room Lunch at 11:30 at Pizza Hut.
Tuesday August 7th - First Teacher day 8:00 @ PHS doors open at 7:30- 9:30-11:30 @ Lincoln for our first meeting. 11:30- 3:15 Lunch (on your own) and work in rooms.
In preparation for the new school year please read through the Faculty handbook linked on this blog page. All teachers should be familiar with all the information in the handbook. In the handbook you will find the plan for the 1st 3 days of school. Also look through the links on this blog page. The blog will be updated weekly for information.
Construction Update: If you have been by recently you can see the progress daily. Our parking on the east end of the building has been impacted and if you parked out there in the past you will want to find a new spot. There are some spots up by the school on the east end but all the parking along the football field is gone.
