The Boston Red Sox's, or the 2016 Cubs, or the 1982 Pilgrims all champions however I am sure there was no confusing Being a Champion with the school located in West Lafayette. All kidding aside, we are moving into November this week and by now we should have established classroom communities that are safe and respectful places for all students to learn. Our efforts with community circles obviously has helped us build this in our advisory class and we all know the challenge from the beginning of the year was to build this every period every day. Part of building that community and is being a Champion for your students every period every day. Maybe you had a Champion growing up, maybe you even have one today, I do know that in order for us to change lives and have impact on student achievement everyone of our students needs a Champion. Who was you Champion? What is your definition of a Champion? Who were you a Champion for today?

Congrats to the Innovation Academy and their success with the haunted maze: Their efforts to raise money for a Blueberry to commemorate the legacy of the current Lincoln building will be an awesome addition to the new Lincoln Junior High. They successfully raised enough money to purchase the Blueberry. Great Job Innovation Academy
Congrats to our Mass Media students and Mrs. Neidlinger for becoming famous this past Friday as they were featured on WNDU for the great work they do. The students were awesome and represented LJHS really well. I am proud of your work and notoriety that you have brought to Lincoln. Job well done.

We received a grade of C for our School-wide Measure and a score of B for the District-wide measure.
School Improvement Council: We held our first council meeting last Wednesday. If you were not able to attend remember you can participate online. An email was sent to you with the subject Intervention Kick Off. In this email is a link for you to participate online. Please participate by Wednesday this week. We appreciate your support and efforts to help the improvement of Lincoln.
Learning Studies: Teachers have 2 weeks to complete their lesson studies with their assigned colleague. Don't wait until the last minute! Remember the purpose is to provide others feedback regarding the level of the learning tasks observed.

I can't wait to here about the classroom visits on Monday Nov. 12th for PD Monday. I will look forward to hearing about the numerous ways that students are thinking throughout Lincoln.
