March Madness

The Madness is upon us in more ways than just basketball.  Together we can make it through the madness and into a 2 week long spring break.  This week will be an exciting and busy week for us all.  So let the madness begin. 

Team Lincoln Highlights: 

7th grade band- Received a Gold Award at this past weekends ISSMA contest.  This will mean for the 3rd year in a row Lincoln will receive the All School Music award.  Great job music department and Lisa Wallyn for bringing home the gold! 

Good Luck to our Academic Teams as they compete on Tuesday @ Wawasee. 

Upcoming @ Lincoln 

Student Led Conferences-  Monday 7th grade Tuesday 8th Grade.  These are student led so please stress to your students to come to the conferences with their parents.  Ideally we want students to lead their parents through how they are doing academically and behaviorally here at Lincoln.  The 3rd quarter report card can lead this conversation.  Some other helpful topics of conversation.  Classes they chose for next school year, discipline points, and goals for the rest of the year.  Again, please encourage your students to attend and hopefully you have reached out to some of those parents that you would like to conference with because of academic or behavior issues.  Conferences should be 15 minutes in length and as parents enter the rooms please have a teacher meet them. 

Statewide Tornado Drill-  This will be at 10:15 on Tuesday.  Please review the procedures with your students. 

IPAD Presentation-  The corporation technology department along with Mr. Hartley will be here for an optional meeting on Wednesday at 3:15 in the Red room.  This presentation will be about the possibility of moving to IPads for student devices next year. 

Skating Parties-  8th grade on Wednesday and 7th Grade on Thursday.  Students will leave at 2:15 both days.  These are rewarding students that did not accumulate any discipline points during the 2nd quarter. 

Read In and Spirit Assembly- We will end the week with our second South Bend Cubs read in day.  We will have a 2 hour delay like last Friday then pick up our Spirit Assembly schedule at 10:05 for the rest of the day.

                      April 15th- TBD

Artifacts-  Teachers artifacts for Domains 1 and 3 are due on April 12th. 

6th Grade Tours- We will be touring 6th graders the week we get back from break.  These tours will happen each afternoon during the week.
