With our first three days in the books, there are many positives that were experienced in just these first days.
- Attendance- We had an attendance rate of higher than 95% for each of the three days. To me this is evidence that students are hungry to return to school and that our increased expectations for elearning is an improvement over last spring.
- Canvas pages- Great job to all teachers for their excellent Canvas pages. Your hard work has paid off as you are set up for a successful online or in person landing page for students and parents. Special thanks to Jake for his leadership in helping teachers with their pages.
- As we walked around checking on classes during the first three days it was apparent that connecting with students and building releationships with students was paramount. This will pay dividends and thanks for being vulnerable and doing these very important things virtually.
- The 1 hour and 20 minute midday break is Amazing, enjoy it for one more week.

After completing the upcoming school year, how will you know you have been successful? And How will you stay positive and contribute to an Amazing Lincoln Culture?
It is my optimistic prediction that the coming week will be our last elearning week for now. I am trying to be positive that students will return on the 24th. With the return of students we will need to be prepared for a different look to school as we return. Obviously, all of our students will be navigating a new building but also many new procedures as well. We will need to be diligent in helping students with these new procedures and new normal. Also be sure to share the new normal with parents as much as we can to help ease many of the fears about sending students back to school. We will visits these procedures this upcoming week during PD on Tuesday. In anticipation of the return I have finally been given the permission to host student tours this week. These will start on Tuesday at 9:00, 1:00 and 5:00. We were told to make groups as small as possible therefore we have split the grades alphabetically for these tours. Students will be toured by Jake and I and some other adults. Students will get maps and schedules upon arrival and will be dispersed to start the tours from various locations. As I stated via email, if students are in attendance for tours they should be counted present and please advise students on Monday to catch the missed class recording on your Canvas pages to see what they might have missed during class.
