All In

 We have been in school one way or the other now for a month.  Being All In together as One Team One Family has been instrumental in our early success thus far.  Yes, there have been several successes and many reasons to be grateful during this first month.  First of all,  teachers have been amazing in balancing both virtual and in person learning.  We know it hasn't been perfect but we have seen some really amazing effort and learning along the way.  That is all we can ask for.  The best thing is how everyone has been all in on helping each other and helping students.  Think about the growth we have all experienced since March with regards to Canvas, Google Meets, Zoom, and other technology tools to help us provide a quality learning experience for our students.  Think about the new classroom procedures that we have implemented to make sure students and staff remain healthy and safe.  These are successes and these are a result of being All In together.  As we move further into the year and continue to learn new ways of doing things, the character of our team will ensure continued success.  We have each others back and we are All In.  

Accolades @ Lincoln:  

Great Job all teachers for keeping grades current and updated and learning the ways of Canvas so that our students and their parents can track their progress thus far.  

Kudos to Rachel Anders and our interventionists for learning together and working on the beginning of something that will have impact on our students.  They have been working through the beginnings of a new approach to our Language Arts Intervention classes.  We appreciate the growth mindsets and All In approach to improvement in this area.  

As I sat in collaborations virtually last week I am excited about the impact that our professional collaboration will have on students.  Our ability to collaborate and have meaningful conversations about learning will carry us to amazing places.  I thank our department leaders for their ability to have these professional learning conversations grounded in these four questions.  

• What do we want students to know and be able to do? 
• How will we know that students know it and can do it? 
• How will we respond if they don't know it and can't do ti?  
• What will we do in response to those that already know it and can do it?  

The answers to these questions are of immense importance to student success.  When we discuss these with an All In approach with relentlessness and professionalism we will be Amazing.  

Special Kudos to Becky Walters and Sarah Drang for their continued organization and work with the revolving door of students in and out of virtual and in person learning.  This is the new normal and both have been great juggling the challenges.  Well done.  

Upcoming @ Lincoln:  

PD Tuesday:  Behavior RTI Team Collaboration-  Teams will identify students that are struggling with tier 1 core behavior expectations and problem solve next steps to give these students more support to help them be successful.  7:15-7:45 

Sept. 21st-  Technology/Virtual Learning- 3:20-3:50 

Zoom PD-  Friday September 18th 7:15-7:45 or 2:35-3:05. Teachers are welcome to attend either of these sessions they are optional.  We will explore together and answer questions as we prepare to move to Zoom for our virtual platform.  

September Leadership Team Meeting- Thursday Sept. 17th 7:00 a.m. to 7:45
