We are approaching the mid point of the 2nd quarter. It is hard to believe that we are already in the second week of November. We have come so far in such a short time. We have adjusted to a new school and a new normal in the midst of a pandemic. Although things haven't been perfect I am impressed and grateful for everyone's professionalism, flexibility, and commitment to our students. It has been difficult but you all have done an awesome job. As we continue through this semester we don't know what lies ahead and therefore our continued flexibility and professionalism will be needed. We must continue with the goals that we had at the beginning of the year. We need to continue to have each others back and remain positive.
The mid point of the quarter is also a great time to check in with your advisory students and see how they are doing during your weekly check ins. Are they progressing? Are they growing in their student agency and taking the steps to be successful? How are they doing academically? How are they doing socially and emotionally? These check ins can make all the difference for students. It is a way to show our students that we care about their success. It can communicate to them that we have their back and we believe in them. Take the time to check in with your students weekly and at this mid point of the quarter.
