I am grateful to all of Team Lincoln for the amazing work that you have done throughout 2020. We are now back to not having students here and many of you working from home. What a year it has been. Your growth as professionals has been amazing. Your flexibility is much appreciated. It has not been smooth and easy at times however I feel like we have worked together and continued to make Lincoln a great place for students even during a pandemic. Several of you have even been through the virus. I am thankful to be a part of your school and a member of our Team Lincoln. I hope that you take time to thank those that are important to you and think about the blessings that you have in your life during this upcoming holiday break.
Accolades @ Lincoln
Maddie Wohlfert- Thanks Maddie for your leadership with the Spirit Assembly planning and score keeping of the spirit days. Although we could not have our November assembly we have some great ideas for December. Thanks for taking on the challenge of being first with planning a pandemic spirit assembly. Thanks also go to the other teachers in both the Blizzard and Typhoon Houses. Brandi Brennan, Kelsie Hollabaugh, Lisa Wallyn, Steve Miller, Kimberly Griffiths
Megan Atkinson- Kudos to Megan for helping us stream the first basketball game of the season and the recent NJHS induction. Kudos also for being at these events to take pictures. We have a limit of the amount of fans and family members that can attend events so the streaming of these is much appreciated. Thank you!
Thanks Again to Kim Bodmer, Kathy Ruffing, Ashley Oliver, and Jesus Jiminez. they continue help us when we are struggling to survive in classrooms or the office. You are amazing.
We welcomed Tracey Gee back to Lincoln as we loaned her to Riverside for the last 3 months. We also welcomed Fabian back Friday and look forward to others that have been out returning soon.
Kudos to Becky Walters for her work with elearning attendance and the continued work of managing our always fluctuating daily attendance and even doing so from home while being quarantined.
Kudos to all advisory teachers for your work in encouraging our students to participate in Spirit week activities. Thank you to those that have donated to our food drive and helping the Marshall County Neighborhood Center.
Congrats to our 8th Grade Boys Basketball team as they won the Northwood Tourney on Saturday. It is a great group of boys. They were not allowed to play in front of their parents so be sure to tell them congrats.
Upcoming @ Lincoln
Tuesday PD - Team Lincoln Day- We will move the time of this meeting to 10:00am on the 24th. Those that have traveling awards please be ready to present. We will do traveling awards and share successes and what we are thankful for from the year thus far. We can also discuss any questions that staff might have regarding the elearning days.
NWEA Middle of the Year Assessment- We will move this assessment to January rather than the week of Dec. 7th. We will test Math on Jan. 12th and Reading on Jan. 14th.
December Spirit Assembly- We are 0-1 so far this year. We will try again in December on the 18th. I ask that our Houses responsible for the November Spirit Assembly share their agenda with those responsible for the December assembly. The Cyclones and Tsunami can build upon what was scheduled for November and add a Christmas touch. Please schedule a planning meeting for this in early December and add Jake and I to the invite.
