Willing to be Disturbed

This reading talks about the willingness to learn together. At Lincoln our capacity to learn from each other will be the determining factor to our greatness. We do not always have the answers when when work alone. We need to learn others work rather than work in isolation. Our collaboration via staff meetings will create a culture of learning from each other. Change is not always easy but it is inevitable. As this piece states.
         "But the world now is quite perplexing. We no longer live in those sweet, slow days when life                felt predictable, when we actually knew what to do next. We live in a complex world, we often              don't know what's going on, and we won't be able to understand its complexity unless we spend            more time in not knowing."

We can become great by learning from each other and understanding that we do not have all the answers and having a growth mindset that is built on the curiosity to seek multiple perspectives.  As we continually adapt to the ever changing world our work is never finished.  The collegial feedback that we give during our collaboration meetings will help us grow in this complex world of change.  It is our responsibility to allow ourselves to be disturbed and learn together and lead together.
